Best place! Nice and small, free breakfast, oil the host is super nice and helpful and can get you discounts on tours as she doesn't charge commision. My girlfriend and I stayed in a queen size bed for cheaper than we were paying for dorms in some hostels. It's a bit further away from the square which means it's a bit quieter and Definitely not a party hostel.

Very good hostel and a great owner (Oil ❤️).
I was at another hostel before and felt instantly better when I moved into Hug Glur. The 4 bed dorm is great, the mattress is very comfortable, the hostel is super clean and in a perfect location (quiet local street close to the old town and to the night market).
There is space to park the bicycle (in my case) or motorbike.
Great and relaxing atmosphere.
Strongly recommend to stay here!

The owner was very nice, reasonable, understanding, and helpful. You can’t beat the price with complimentary breakfast - which was very nice. The dorm was fine. Nice calm place for a stay right near the center of chiang Mai.

If you like when absolutely no personal space - it will be good for you, not for me.
Pros - ac, clean, cheap, and good food.
Cons - in dorm: it's really not enough space for 8 persons, really just not enough air - 6 persons maximum will good, and yes, i understand, money it's very important...but... 2 people had cold air in their body from ac, or other 6 people will not enough air. And no normal soap for shower, no towels... And yes, staff and owner is very friendly and helpful.

The owner is amazing, she offers a lot of useful suggestions about scenic spots in this city.

The hostel is actually in a flat blocks, so everyone you meet on the way in and out of the hostel, they are so kind and friendly. If some of them can't understand what I say, they'll call some one with better English to help. A really lovely neighborhood!

The beds are clean, the location is actually a bit off the old city. But you can get a bed in air-dorm for only $3(100baht)! Usually it takes me 20 mins to get to the main roads or night bazaar. So, totally worth the money.

Clean and good price. For breakfast (which is included): pad thai, toasts, jams, butter, tea, coffee, and fruit. We are thankful for the place that they have outside because in the rooms you don’t have a lot of privacy. First Asian bathroom with a curtain inside!

Oil the owner is such a lovely person and is definitely the best place to go to get the cheapest tours. The hostel was clean and well taken care of, breakfast is delicious! Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is there isnt much space to relax other than the dorm room.
