Pretty arboretum with detailed info on plants and trees. Nice for children too and also a simple workout zone. There is now a cafe in the area too.

Edit: Park is now open as of July 2 but with restrictions. Hours are 8:30am - 4:40 pm, you must sign in and sanitize hands, and wear a mask while in the park...even when running on the trail apparently.

Nice fitness park and a great place to escape the noise, traffic, and crowds. Sort of like a peaceful oasis in the midsts of all the craziness of Chiang Mai. Local volunteers keep the place looking fantastic and volunteer artists have added a special touch that make the place unique in a pleasing way. It is indeed an arboretum with a lot of species of trees.

Terrific place to exercise or just relax and hang out. However, during the rainy season, the mosquitos are an overwhelming nuisance so be sure you bring repellant from April through October if you don;t want to be eaten alive!

Lush urban forrest, just wish it was larger. Handy information on each tree stating how old and how much CO2 each tree holds. The exhibition centre is lovely, butterflies all over the walls. Best of all it's free!

Such a nice place for family,they have the officers cleaning and taking care the place, they close early like4-6pm because of covid though????

Great place for a quiet stroll among tall shady trees. Also good for an exercise-walk, the round loop is used by lots of people working out, with several exercise machines along the way. The trees are labeled with information, and there is a free public restroom. There is also a tea-coffee house, a plant-insect museum, and an orchid house. The slight elevation of the park makes it a little cooler than the rest of town. They have several large mounted photographs of Chiang Mai views that people use as backdrops for portraits.

You may learn a lot about orchids. You found a tree that was over a century of age and other trees that are over years. Good to go with your kids.

This is one of my favourite spots in Chiang Mai. Beautiful trees, a botanical exhibit, play areas for kids, informative displays, and many birds. Small, but close enough to return repeatedly for a bit of nature!
