We followed the Lonely Planet recommendation but were a bit disappointed. It's a nice hostel and the location is great, but the breakfast was a little small (just two slices of bread) and because there were so many mosquitos we could hardly enjoy it. It's a nice garden setting, so some biters are expected, but because they leave a lot of otherwise empty pots full of water, it's the perfect breeding location for even more. Also the bed was quite hard... I think you can find a better spot in Chiang Mai.

The thai wooden style it is designed in is very beautiful along with the garden.
However i was not able to sit in the garden for even two minutes because of the mosquitoes even with my whole body sprayed with mosquitoes replant.
Shower was blocked and the room was very small. It is in a good location however same about the mosquitoes and blocked shower as it looks like a very traditional thai house.

If you're looking for something quaint, somewhat eclectic, Thai style decor, simple, very affordable and owner operated, this is a lovely place to stay. Just off Thapae Gate, it is very conveniently located in old town, walking distance to cafe's, temples, the moat, etc.

Loved my stay at the Gap house. Incredible location, room is great for a solo traveller and would be perfect for a couple travelling. Close to night market and the bars but quietly hidden.

Room is a little dated but the cabin vibe with a small sitting area is perfect.

Incredible hosts and very peaceful, warm environment. Breakfast is included and is also just right.

I’d highly recommend staying here.

My stay was wonderful! I stayed twice, for a couple of days, during my month long trip in Thailand. The rooms were clean, well stocked and nice and cool. They let me leave my large luggage there for two weeks so that I could pack small for in-country travel. The location couldn't be beat! I'll definitely be returning here when I come back ❤❤❤

Well located, Stylish, clean guesthouse. Not too expensive. Attentive staff.
The ugly is that the walls are very thin and the floor boards are very noise.
It may actually affect your sleep.
The toilet is less elegant than the room.

Such a nice place to stay. When in the rooms it feels like you're in the jungle. Prices are good.

You can get meals here,I especially liked the breakfast buffet. But learned that some parts should not be eaten by Western people, it was so hot that out kept burning for minutes! :)

When asked the owners can arrange excursions or scooters for you.
