Although the weather was quite hot, we still went to Doi Suthep-Pui National Park to see this place. There are not as many people as we thought, the surrounding scenery is still very beautiful, the air is fresh, clean and cool when we stopped in the hill. That's amazing.

Doi Suthep Pui is the name of the highest summit of the area. The National Park is located 5k far from Chiang Mai city center. It's a great place to enjoy trekking, trail running and mountain biking.

The jungle is deep and wild, the mountains are very high with great views, its possible to stop and eat at different small Hmong villages located at the foothill of the summit. It's definetely one of the best and most beautiful place in Thailand for outdoor activities. And so easy to go.

Unfortunately trails are not marked so its difficult to find and easy to lost. Sometimes trails are also so wild that you need a machete to move forward. But when you know the area, that's amazing place.

It was my first time camping, I found this place to be very convenient, spacious, affordable, clean, great working staffs. Food stalls, great view and close to the airport. It's a must for people new to this area. Don't forget to try their shabu. Music can bother other people peace of mindset.

We spent the day here! The drive from Chiang Mai is about 30 minutes, and there is TONS to do. We explored the temple first, and had coffee and lunch around there. After we did the Nature Trail and went to the peak. We stopped for a bit on the way home at one of the water falls, too. Definitely recommend it.. the ride up on a scooter was a little difficult but if you’re confident on one, you should be fine ????????

Amazing and peacful atmosphere in this temple !
Not to crowded at the end of the day, you will feel relaxed over there to just walk around and feel the energy.
Just wear proper outfit and enjoy the view of Chiang Mai.
Easy access and parking from the city center, the road to go up there is great and the air is fresh.
Walk to the top by using the stairs, it’s definitely not to hard just take couple minutes!

Position high up the mountain side with views looking over Chiang Mai. Glorious Temple with expansive grounds providing great vantage points to sit and enjoy the scenery and the majestic Temple provides numerous jaw dropping spectacles of Buddhist culture. We hired a small red bus for one way journey to the Temple at a cost of 300 Baht for private use ( no sharing) from Chiang Mai Old Town, most drivers were asking for 400 baht one way or 800 Baht for return journey. I would recommend paying for one way because when we finished are visit at the temple there are many red taxi buses available for the return journey and we shared the the cost with 7 other tourist and paid 60 Baht per person for return to Chiang Mai. The bus service at the temple is well organised with helpful drivers who explain the procedures.
