We have done the 3 days trekking tour with Dino and we have had an unforgettable experience! I can’t recommend this tour enough. Dino is a fantastic guide who is very knowledgeable and makes sure everybody has a great time. The scenery of the trekking is stunning as you go from deep jungle valleys to mountain tops. The rafting was a lot of fun and meeting the elephants was a great experience. Dino’s cooking skills have been without a doubt a highlight of the tour. He has prepared delicious breakfast, lunches and dinners. He even made sure to the snacks in the long treks!

We had a great time in our 2 days 1 night trekking. All the tour was very well organised and we were always very well received in all the stops that we made. Our guide Karn was always super nice, funny and helped making this experience unforgettable with his share of knowledge about the culture and places we visit. Definitely Recommend this trekking experience to everyone that is heading to Chiang Mai.

We booked the private single day tour and it was absolutely phenomenal. We met the day before to confirm our expectations and they delivered 100 percent. We asked for a true mountain hike yet easy (and although a few of our group under estimated their abilities) it was perfect. My husband and I wanted as true an experience to trekking as we could get in a day hike and they delivered. Not only that, but they brought us to a beautiful waterfall, spent some time with elephants on a sanctuary that were clearly well treated, ate an absolutely delicious meal that catered to our vegan friends, and finishing on a river raft was just the perfect ending. Thanks to you guys! It was an experience of a lifetime and I apologize for our friends who don't know what hiking is! You delivered perfectly! Thank you!

We usually don't do the tours and like to explore on our own. Main reason is because most of tours are there to profit and want it to be over as quickly as possible. NOT with this company, even though we were all strangers when we started, by the end of the adventure ot felt like time spent with family! We've had one of the best guides, DINO, if possible ask for him as your guide, he will make you feel like a family and will make sure you're having a great time!
The whole experience was awesome and totally worth it!

Sor is not only the best guide we had in Thailand, but the best we have ever had! We went in a group with people we didn't know and everything was so great. From the beginning to the end all the stops were worth it! Food, trekking, bamboo rafting and the elephant visit was so worth it. We hope to meet again Sor! We both send a warm hug!

So, this is going to be a bit different review.

We had planned to do a 3-day 2-night trip. 2 weeks before our planned trip I tore one of my ligaments, so my participation was very unlikely.

We still went to Piroon, since we had already paid a deposit and wanted to get a opinion if I could do da 2-Day 1-night trip since it was communicated as a child-safe trip.

At the office they said, it wouldn't be a problem to do the hike, it would be easy and I shouldn't have any problem, even though I was limping with a splint on my ankle. So we agreed to do the trip and were excited to do this "easy" hike of 2 hrs...healthy people without problems would do it in 1,5hrs.

Unfortunately, on the day it was mixed weather with some rain. We drove first to the market about an hour from Chiang Mai, to get some stuff that we needed for the trip. Cha made some stops additional on the way for us too since we wanted to have some coconuts as refreshment.

Due to my condition, I was given a bamboo stick to help me walk. Soon after we started, we noticed that it was deadly slippery (due to the rain). It was even hard for people without limitations to get on top of the first slope since the mud was so wet.

Cha helped me up and I could continue the hike. Soon we noticed, that the path in the jungle was much harder to walk than we had imagined. It was very narrow, slippery, and needed full attention with mindful steps. Other groups passed us but had difficulties getting forward due to the slippery conditions.

I only could use the bamboo stick and my other foot to walk and was really biting my teeth together. My GF and Cha had big problems descending the path, not to mention other groups. I won't ever forget Cha mentioning every now and then, that I was even faster than some other persons with healthy limbs.

In the end, we needed like 4,5 hours for the 5-6km hike. The arrival on the porch in the village was the best feeling ever. The descent from the plateau was like a slide with soap water. Cha was a great help, and another guide from another group too since they gave their best to make the ground have more grip. They used bamboo sticks to stir up the ground and gave a helping hand every time it was needed. Without Cha and his motivation, I probably would have given up. Even sometimes I noticed, that he was kinda clueless too. The conditions were really bad.

Then I want to mention the food. Cha cooked us probably the best Thai dinner that we ever had in Thailand. Hands down. The food was awesome and there was so much of it. The breakfast was great too. During the dawn, the bamboo rafts were done and we saw all groups departing from the village. We got a private raft and Cha even made us some seats on it.

The rafting was really fun. Due to the higher water level, we didn't need to get off the raft at any point. We actually witnessed some cantered rafts on the way. Cha explained to us, that these guides were from another company and that they didn't know the water and river well. So you should look at what company you use!

Summary: we had a great trip, with a lot of emotions and impressions. Still, I would have liked to have a better consultation on the difficulty of the trekking path. Even in dry conditions, I would rate it as advanced to pro. nothing you should do, if you haven't done trekking before. In rain, it was more or less a suicide path due to the extremely slippery road.

I would like to give Cha 5 Stars. He was great. He taught us so much about food, politics, culture, etc. At some point, we had gotten a little bit too much information since he is a very extroverted person. But still. Love that dude. For the consultation on Piroons side, I would rather give a bad review. Since they knew, I had a broken limb and they said, it wouldn't be a problem. I got a little bit of an impression that since we had paid the deposit, they didn't want to lose the money.

Book Cha. Give him a great tip. He is worth every penny.

No words can describe how amazing this tour was. From start to finish everything felt so unique and genuine! The market was cute where we could pick up some snacks and drinks! Then we stopped off at the waterfall and Chai and Lodi gave us samples of traditional Thai food from the market which was really interesting! Then we went into the waterfall which was just breathtaking and refreshing as it was so hot (to be expected). Then we took a 35 minute drive to a place to have lunch and it was so tasty!! So much food it felt like a feast! Then we started the trek on the first day which was roughly 12km and you definitely needed to have a basic level of fitness as the up hills and down hills were intense at times but I was so proud of myself that I was able to do it and I appreciated the regular breaks to stop, take a breath , drink some water and listen to Chai talk about the nature and Thai culture, you could see how passionate he was about mountain life! The best thing was arriving at the traditional village of Kai Raing to relax, have a cold shower (so refreshing) and drink a beer and just chill at the edge of the jungle on the stilted house where we would be staying for the night. Chai and Lodi and others kindly got to work to cook us the most amazing food I have ever tasted. Another proper feast and the spring rolls that were made by scratch were the best spring rolls I have ever had in my life!! We were so grateful for this home cooked meal and experience living like a local mountain girl/boy!! We then all sat around a fire and chit chatted, a sing song would have been nice but everyone was a bit shy haha! By half 10 or so, people started disappearing to bed as the tiredness started to kick in! We were all sleeping in this one room with double mattresses on the floor and all you could hear was the peaceful sound of the jungle and the river down below. I didn’t sleep great personally only because I wasn’t used to all the different sounds but I enjoyed lying there and listening to the jungle singing it’s beautiful song! We woke at around 7 to a fire and some coffee and tea and another feast of a breakfast to set us right for the day! Another busy day ahead of trekking, bamboo rafting and elephants and everyone was so excited! We enjoyed another 1 and 1/2 hour trek up and down the mountains again until we reached the river! We popped on our swimsuits and got aboard the bamboo! What an adventure! It was a bumpy ride in parts but that was to be expected! The skill that Chai and Lodi showed to maneuver the rafts was incredible and we were so grateful for the ability to relax and sit while they did all the hard work haha! After roughly two hours we arrived at another local village where we were fed again the best pad Thai ever! Then we hopped on the trucks 20 minutes to the elephant sanctuary! I have never seen such amazing happy creatures! And the locals that were looking after them were so skillful and it was very clear that they loved and respected these animals! We got to get in the water with them and it was by far the best experience I’ve had in my whole life! It nearly brought a tear to my eye when the trip was over! But I was so content and proud of myself for the trekking and I felt like I really earned my sleep that night after they dropped us back to the hotel!

I can’t recommend this tour enough. I will remember this for the rest of my life ❤️ Thank you again ❤️❤️
