Room and location where perfect for the price. Staff was not speaking very well English but tries and the lady is so sweet. Unbeatable value for money for the old town, great double room with shower. Quite. Recommend !!

Loved our stay there. The people who own ampawan house are extremely kind, and the place holds good energy. Room was clean, renovated shower, and comfortable bed. Quite area but close enough to all the good restos. A vegan restaurant just in front of the hotel.

For some reason, it was actually cheaper to book this place on agoda (final payment amount) than it was to book this place in person. It's basic and we were fortunate to have a little sitting area in front of our room (room 7) that we practically had to ourselves. It was clean enough but not spotless. Apparently, this is the case for most basic hotels in Chiang Mai. The cheapest I found was 450baht for an air-conditioned room. Ampawan was 490baht.

Plus: by a quiet lane. No karaoke or noisy neighbours. Opposite a fantastic vegan cafe called Bodhi tree Café.

Location is great, near many attractions but calm and quiet. The rooms are big enough for two people and it seemed really safe

Very affordable clean and simple rooms. In good location in Old City, right by Sunday walking market and many restaurants bars and shops.

Very clean and simple. The location is perfect. It's close to the Sunday night market and the side street it's located on is quiet.
