This is a relatively new hostel so there weren't very many people staying at the time. I got a private room to myself for a great price, and their cafe/lounge patio downstairs is lovely and serves great food and snacks!

The staff is super friendly, helpful, and accomodating. I'm happy to be one of the first reviewers and give the seal of approval that this place is great. A really special find.

If you are looking for a five star hotel, this is not it. This is a local guest house and its pretty nice. What makes it so nice is Mew, the house keeper. She does scrutiny she can to make your stay pleasant. She loves to talk with foreigners, to help you get a feel for the area. She's an excellent cook and is always happy to make food. She really makes the place what it is.

Overall, I have no real issues with the house. I've stayed here for about a month. The beds are hard by western standards, but I got used to them. And never have any problem sleeping now.

The bathrooms are shared, which I was aware of. Apparently there is conflicting information about this, depending on which site you find this place on. There is one bathroom upstairs, and two downstairs, one of which is outside. Mew takes good care of them, but you are dealing with other guests and not everyone cleans up after themselves. Let Mew know about it, problem solved.

There is no guest kitchen. But New is good about making breakfast that caters to you, within reason. Most rooms have a mini fridge in them, so that helps for drinks and snacks.

Rooms are on the smaller side. But people are here to see the city and surrounding area, so probably not going to be in the room much anyways.

My suggestions for Triple 999 as possible improvements : better bed frames, maybe mattresses too. Also a connection for car and motorcycle /scooter rentals.

Cosy and close to the airport. Have spent all my time in chiang Mai here. Can't leave because we love the lady working here so much. She really takes care of us and makes sure we are okay and have everything we need. Works very hard. Kind of unfair to have her alone doing everything, especially to deal with some really rude guests. We Do whatever we can to make her life easier. Old fashioned place with a nice comfortable outdoor area to relax outside the canal.

Nice service and reasonable price for backpacker. The hostel housekeeper is full of passion.

Hostess is a kind lady but the facilities are quite old and needs touch up.
