I think it's luck what kind of person the barter will deal with. The person who was assigned to me was courteous and would respond to my requests, but that's it. They don't voluntarily suggest anything to make guests feel comfortable at the hotel, or give me any advice.
Also, regarding the water at dinner, I was surprised that the restaurant charged me 50 baht for water that was distributed free of charge in room service. Server asked me: would you like to drink water? So, I said yes, but since the water they brought was the water that was given free in the room, I naturally assumed it is free. However, I was surprised when I saw the bill at the checkout. I understand that the beverage is 150 baht, but I don't understand why they charge 50 baht for water that I can get for free. If the server brings such as Evian water ( I mean it is clear to understand that it’s not a free bottle water), I will reconsider whether I want to drink water or not, and if it is Evian water, I can accept it costs more than 100baht.
Also, the bathtub was not washed clean (I can clear to see that previous guests used it) and the edges of the floor were halfway cleaned.
Also, I did not know where was the entrance at the restaurant for breakfast, but the staff working inside did not speak to me or open the door, although they saw me through the window. Also, in most hotels, the staff will take me and arrange a table , but in this restaurant for breakfast, I cannot understand, but staffs never approached me personally. I asked : could I have a table for two, then finally they take me to a seat. I felt that there are no staffs in this hotel who can act proactively and they are passive.
The attitude of the staff working in the hotel is very polite. However, what they say changes from person to person, perhaps due to differences in understanding?, so managers and leaders should unify and control all staff members. I also think that barter should be able to suggest and advise to guests before they ask questions so that the stay of the guests will not be uneventful. Although this hotel is the top brand in Marriott, but I felt so many improvement. These the all reasons why I think this hotel is not worth for 5 stars.
If this hotel had been a three star I might have been able to accept and not opine on all the issues. As for the quality of service, it is the lowest of all the five star hotels I have ever stayed in. (Maybe I'm just lucky and have had the best experience in most 5-star hotels...) However, I think all the staff working in this hotel should be understand and work their position that this is a 5 star hotel.
