The resort is gorgeous and location good to Chaweng Beach. I recommend avoiding the short term rental in Kanda 34.

We just stayed at the fabulous Kanda Residences for the last 6 weeks and we are sad to go! The villas are stunning and very spacious, and they are perfect if you are a family bringing your helper or nanny as some of the bedrooms are in a separate villa next to the main villa. We had one with the master bedroom upstairs and our 10 year old slept very happily in his own “guesthouse” or mini-villa next to ours- your whole villa is enclosed within a wall. It is on some hills that you can get some exercise, walking or running the hilly paths, plus the gym has just re-opened they told me, which sadly we missed. The main pool is open which is right next to the beach where you can take out their kayaks (we recommend water shoes for rocks but not necessary- no sea urchins). And one huge bonus for us was that they organize a fantastic Muay Thai instructor who will come and teach Thai boxing to you and your children- we had khun Beau who is great with kids, and playful, and makes it fun.
And we liked the location, considering we had a few friends staying on the north side, but we ended up shopping (Tops supermarket) and making runs to that mall (Central) here and there which was like a 6 min drive, and to go to restaurants and to Chaweng or Chaweng Noi (best beaches, especially for jogging or eating/drinking on the beach) it is an easy drive to get to.
The three other things to point out is that
1) Kanda only charges 3.67 baht, I think it was, per hour of electricity usage- all the other families on the north side are paying 7 baht.
And 2) I looked at many villas around this area and more north, and this is the only one that has daily maid service. And once a week to clean the pool. The daily maids come do our dishes every day which was huge considering we did not bring a helper, and once a week another team comes to do deep cleaning, and 2 or 3 days a week the pool guys come to clean.
And 3) they have the best WiFi signal compared to anywhere we have seen- and that was #1 for us since we were moving 2 home offices here to work plus our child doing virtual learning.
It is huge value for what you get- which is what drive me to write a review. We are hoping to come back this summer!

It was an awesome experience. Every little care has been taken to ensure a guests comfort. The staff is superb.

I would have rated it 5 stars had a small incidence at the restaurant not taken place. My 8 year old son was not interested in breakfast and wanted to go swim, when he went back to have his breakfast he was refused saying he had already eaten!!!

I just planned to go to the hotel with my family. We looked that hotel and it looked good that's why we decided to book there. And they said 'pay at the hotel when we get there' So we just booked it and get a booking voucher.
Actually they didn't notice or announce at all like 'you have to check your email about payment'
That's why we just booked that hotel!
But the other day(after 7days), I checked my email, and they sent 3 messages to me about cancellation of our room!!!! Just cancelled without more warning!!! I was shocked because we thought I made everything perfect! Because I could pay at hotel!!
I really really can not understand about it.
They cancelled because someone just paid deposit before than us! How!! How could it happened??? That's insane!! They just ruined our vacation and they made us lose our money for our flight. They spoiled my holiday sucks!! Terrible service and terrible handling system as well.
I hope nobody get this experience as like me.

This hotel is unbelievable!! So fancy! We have our own villa with our own private pool. The villa has a large living room with couch and TV, dining room with large table and chairs and kitchen - oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, stove, dishes everything you need. There is also a washing machine and dryer.
We used 2 bedrooms, that each had a bathroom. but I think there are more bedrooms locked up, in case of bigger groups.
The place is far away from shops, but there is a shopping list you can fill, and they get anything you want for you.
The place has a restaurant.
