Best beach on Koh Samui with bars, resorts and restaurants fronting the beach. Great for day relaxation, night time romantic dinner and also beach parties at the famous night clubs on the beach.

Koh Samui has some beautiful beaches, and this one is very good too, lots of space, freedom to run around and go in the water, and beachside bars and massage places to relax. Family friendly, highly recommended!

It's hard to get there by car if you aren't from some of the beach hotels. You'll have to park somewhere around and ask for the passage from security guards of the hotels.
Beach is very long and just ok

Is very nice but in some places there is sea weed and and is not that good for swimming. The sand is white and clean

Could be one of the nicest beaches in all of Thailand, unfortunately its a lot of trash on the beach. Bottles, plastic bags and other (mainly) plastic trash. If all of the hotels along the beach got together and hired someone to clean it regularly this could be fixed within a week for a very reasonable price. Time will tell if they do so before it becomes a unfixable problem and scares away all tourists..

One of the best beaches in Thailand, Chaweng beach is a 3 km stretch of soft sand with big waves at one end while the other end is sheltered by coral reef allowing safe relaxed bathing.
From one end to the other there is a plethora of resorts from budget to 5 star that accommodate all tastes.
About half way along the beach you can combine lazing and gazing towards the small offshore island in the beauiful emerald sea while watching the planes come in to land, seemingly skimming the tops of the palm trees that you're sitting in the shade of.

Being my first visit to Chaweng Beach on Koh Samui I thoroughly enjoyed Chaweng Beach both during the day and night. Many venues transform their part of the beach into a restaurant. Nothing better eating at a restaurant on the beach listening to the waves and fresh sea breeze in the back ground.
