What a wonderful place to stay and enjoy ko Samui! It's nicely secluded so not too many other people. The bungalows are in a pretty good shape (but not luxuriously equipped) prefect beach, very friendly owner/staff, cheap scooter renting is possible, the next grocery store is about 10 min. Of walking. 100% recommend staying there if you look for a quiet and beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Thailand's nature! Big Thanks to the owner and staff!:)

Great spot. Reasonably priced. Quiet, a bit off the beaten track but perfect if you're looking for a chill place away from all the hustle and bustle of the local cities/towns and local tourist traps/general craziness and you just want to unwind by the beach and get a decent night's rest. Private bungalows with air con u0026 fridge. No laundry or food at the facility but there are places close by (within a short walking distance down the street). The reception office is located in one of the two villa/bungalows on the far left hand side closest to the beach beside the laundry drying line outside.
Pong and his wife are very kind, friendly hospitable hosts who are more than happy to accommodate their guests needs during their stay. Highly recommend ????

Me and my girldfriend were searching for a nice and cheap place to stay for our first days on Ko Samui. Now when we saw Baan Wasana online running at about 18€/night with beautiful looking pictures we thought that we hit the jackpot.

And our expextations were met when arrived. A beautiful garden and beach with a unbelievable view and nice little huts with cute little terraces. We were greeted by some very nice hosts were immediatly guided to our accomondation. Being very very stressed out by our bus travel from Bangkok to Ko Samui we at first felt very lucky and happy to have arrived in such a beautiful place like this. All good until we had a closer look inside the from outside beautiful looking hut.

The bed was fine and the air conditioning worked ok. But the rest was a complete letdown. The couch, the freezer and especially the bathroom was in such a bad condition, that my girlfriend was actually about to cry. We felt so unpleseant taking a shower, it was horrific. But i will let the pictures talk.

After we *endured* the shower we immediatly started packing our things again and wanted to check-out, eventhough the rooms where already paid for 2 nights. We encountered the next problem as there was nobody - and i mean absolutly nobody - available to talk to. The "reception" was empty and there was no one else running around who looked like someone you could talk to. After searching for some minutes i decided to just leave the key at the reception and leave.

It was very hard to get back to civilization as there are only few people/houses around the area. Luckily some very nice guy picked us with his car and brought us to Nathon pier where we found a way better accomondation.

Overall it was a very bad first day in Ko Samui and i hope no one has to endure the same thing as we did.

I hope the hosts of Baan Wasana understand, that they have a paradise-like place back there and are very fortunate to be able to run a hotel/hostel there. But they should really consider charging like 5-10€ more every night in order to get a serious renovation and some cleaning done. Then it would be just perfect. And i am very sure most tourists would be happy to pay a couple of quid more to get the best out of that place.

Very sorry to say that all but i still think this hotel has a lot of potential.

Best regards!

Really good place! Clean and pretty. Kittipong was a super friendly labnlord/manager. Only problem is it is really isolated so there aren't a lot of people. Drove in at night and it looked a bit sketchy, but in the morning it was beautiful. If you're staying to party don't come here. But if your looking to get away I would say it's perfect. Also, you can walk along the coastline to Nathon Pier during low season.

Nice quiet resort on Lipa beach. Very good value for money with spacious clean bungalows. No food or breakfast, so be prepared.

Close to normal beaches, bungalow OK, But far from other facilities, all amenities and equipment should be improved, no restaurants etc.

Quite spot on koh samui with spacious bungalows, palms and right in front of the sea. It does not offer a restaurant but there’s plenty all around
