Thip is just the best. It felt like being invited to a home. She‘s sweet, cooks great and even played with our baby, whilst we were eating. Best Thai food we had so far. Her place doesn’t feel touristy at all (for Ko-Phangan). We were there a few times and spotted a few local tourist workers eating there who supposedly were looking for real home-made food - or at least that was our assumption.

Her banana chips and rice waffles should certainly be considered as a great alternative to the usual snack food. If we ever pass this island again we’ll certainly be regulars again. Thanks Thip for the great dinners and your smile!

This is an amazing place right off of Salad Beach and a one-woman show. We had Massaman curry with chicken, Pad Thai with chicken, an order of rice, and a large Leo beer for 350 bhat. It was one of the best meals we've had here, in Chiang Mai, or Bangkok. The proprietress is so kind and an incredible cook. We plan to go back to try a couple different dishes.
Update: we went back two nights later for another delicious meal of chicken with cashew nuts (filled with lovely, fresh vegetables and many cashews) and stir-fry panang curry with chicken. If you don't visit this lovely one-woman show, you're missing out.

Great Thai Restaurant run by the sweetest woman. She is honest and uses fresh ingredients. The food is so good, we even saw some of the locals stopping by to grab some of her quick snacks???? My wife and I have been traveling Thailand the past year and have stayed in several different places (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Lanta, Phi Phi, Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) and Thip is one of the best cooks we have come across. We ate here several days (almost everyday) and tried several dishes, which were all tasty! Our favorites were the Sun-Dried Fried Fish, Spicy Seafood Salad, and Panaeng Seafood. Thip, herself, is such a bubbly a friendly lady and made me feel like I had a long lost grandmother in Thailand. I highly recommend everyone to try her food while in Koh Phangan especially if you’re in the Haad Salad area. We tried a few other places and they were nothing compared to the food here!

Very tasty food and friendly owner. We took pad thai and curry with shrimps. Both were tasty and a size was proper. Only drawback was a price. We paid in total 500B for this + rice + beers (2) + water. Could be cheaper.

This was the best and most authentic restaurant I experienced in Thailand. I went to eat there with my friends on our first night on Phangan and went back every day for the rest of our stay. The food is amazing, prices are super fair and actually low compared to other restaurants in that part of the the island and Thip is just the greatest. She is the nicest person ever, super friendly and kind and is open to cook anything for you even if it’s not on the menu. Her Thai food is to die for. She even taught me how to cook her amazing Pad Thai. Best experience ever and definitely a go to restaurant if you’re on Salad Beach.

So much more than the sum of its parts.
THE BEST Som Tam or Tum I’ve EVER had. The Perfect balance of all the flavours.
The Spicy Seafood Salad Yum Talay was just outstanding.
Then on top of the amazing food was Mrs Thip pronounced Tip. Suuuuuch a lovely lady. We spoke about Thai food for a good while and we are Very excited about our return when she will cook some other “off list” dishes for us. She was a joy and her love for her food shines very bright as does her smile.

Great restaurant in had salad! You will see the sign “prung tip” outside the restaurant. From the beach you go up the road right near “jack bar”. Everything we ate was delicious (pad thai, red curry, laab and papaya salad). The owner is a very kind local women who does everything. If she has time she can even teach you how to cook.
