Had such a great experience here and would definitely come back again. The standard rooms were more like little villas and featured a private and covered outdoor shower and bathtub- divine. By far my favourite place during our 6 week trip. The staff were really lovely to chat with and also helped to get us a taxi to our next location. The pool was also big enough to swim laps during June, when the ocean is a bit more shallow. Yes, there was chlorine in the pool but still found it fairly gentle. Plenty of restaurants nearby for an incredible sunset dinner. This was my favourite place to catch a sunset on the island with full view.

Perfect. So friendly staff, so clean, they clean every day, even the clouth and mess they tidy up. The pool is great, location also right at the beach. Every room comes with bathtub and outside shower, good pressure, warm water! Hair dryer,big balkony, big bathroom big room. Only i miss is aditional to the aircondition a fan. At the moment the restaurant is closed.but there are many just arou d the courner. 5 meters or so.

During our 3-week trip in Thailand, this was the best we have experienced (always staying at hotels of same level). We had the best room which we could have had imagined - the view on infinity pool and the ocean was so calming, beautiful and relaxing. Cannot imagine the better view. The room was very clean and it had very nice ambience - the dark wood made it look just perfect (though the room is not the newest). The hotel is literally in the jungle so we were woken up by nature sounds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nothing special but we liked it a lot. As regards destination, we very much enjoyed the fact that it was not so crowded.

Booked five nights at Green Papaya Resort after a recommendation from a friend - and it was entirely worth it.

Pros:
- Staff was very welcoming and curteious throughout our stay. Even when there was a bit of a language barrier between us, they always tried to help.
- Room: the room was awesome. It was very spacious , and also clean and tidy.
- The resort has direct access to a beautiful beach, as well as a large pool. you can go for a swim/go snorkeling or just hang out in the sun :)
- Quiet surrounding. In my opinion, one of the resort's greatest virtues. You can just relax...
- If you wish to engage in some leisure activities such as a snorkeling/diving trip or other, the Salad Beach Booking Center is a couple of minutes walk from the resort and you can get it there (including a pickup from the resort)

Cons:
- Price: not the cheapest, but then again, the same goes for all the other resorts on Salad Beach. All I can personally say is that it is worth the price.
- If you plan most of your activities away from the resort, consider renting a scooter for the duration of your stay (not to worry, there is a rental place nearby). Otherwise you'll probably need to spend a couple of hundred bahts per person for a taxi in each direction.

After a week stay there, I join my friend in giving the Green Papaya Resort a warm recommendation.

They have tried to renovate this place a bit. It is completely off the beaten path. The pool is nice but has lots of chlore. Make sure to take a look at the rooms before you book. Lots of restaurants at the beach. The water gets very low in spring though.
