Koh Tao's best roast chicken, with a delicious curry sauce. I also recommend the potato tortilla, the delicious hambueguesas.
And for lovers of french fries, the best are Chaba Tapas Restaurant Bar.
Excellent attention and very friendly.
Good prices. 100% recommendable.

95 baht for a beer and free tapa - I chose a slice of tortilla de patata, which, for the price, was close enough to the real Spanish thing. More than worth it with free WiFi and ppl watching on this fun and lively street.

Husband and I stopped in here for a light meal. I ordered the Club Sandwich and he got the Chaba Sandwich. Both were good. My husband was raving about how tasty his Chaba was! The French fries were also great.

Mediocre food and had to wait 10 minutes to order food as they were overwhelmed with diners. There is a better option next door at La Cantina. EDIT I was trying to be nice with my review, but since the owner has replied with such an unprofessional response, let me revise my review. We waited over 10 minutes even for an acknowledgement from anyone that we were even in the restaurant. We had to call the waiter over, he didn't come himself, just to get menus. It took several more minutes to actually give our order (I want to say another 10 minutes, but I may be remembering incorrectly). He could barely speak any English or Thai, which is unusual for Thailand. The waiter did not take down the order correctly, and had to be corrected. The order was brought with some ordered items incomplete, and we had to ask several times for our items. When I say the food was mediocre, I mean it was not good by any standard. I have lived in Thailand 10 years and travel extensively, so I do have a good frame of reference, even considering the scarce availability of ingredients on some remote islands. Getting our change back after paying the bill again took an unusually long time to receive, even though most of the other dinner guests had left. This was my first time on Koh Phayam, and I loved the experience and will definitely return, but after the service from this restaurant, I will not be returning here. I would suggest to the owner of this restaurant to re-evaluate his/her decisions as a restaurant owner if this type of service and professionalism is considered the standard. Service is everything (obviously?) in the service industry. A simple apology and/or acknowledgement would have looked much better here to me and other potential customers than a childish response with some idiotic assumptions. I wish you all the best with your restaurant in a challenging environment of a small island where customer reviews and your responses can make or break your business.

It’s an ok place to stop by for a beer and a snack, but it’s not a real tapas bar, so don’t get your hopes up if you feel like getting a spanish experience. The staff was nice and the food arrived quickly, so it was a good time.

My experience here was okay. The food was average - good but nothing fancy. I had a Thai stir fry.
I didn‘t like that when I got the bill I found out that when you order Rice with your dish you pay an extra 88 Baht on top... Overpriced and who asks what a portion of rice would cost?!
