Came here for the first time in 2012 and had a great week of diving, including a day-trip to Sail Rock. I came back in 2022. And had a couple of great fun dives. 3 of my friends did their SSI Open Water here this week and they were really impressed by the quality of the course, taught by Graeme. One of the best instructors I've come across.

Had a great experience getting my open water diving certificate at Big Blue. I was pretty scared going into it considering I had no previous diving experience. However, my instructor Will, seamlessly calmed me down. He explained everything very well and made me feel extremely comfortable. We had 4 great dives in the ocean and saw lots of marine life. Me and my group became very close, and now I really want to come back and get my advanced license with Will! Definitely recommend Big Blue.

Great diving with Big Blue!!! We were on Koh Tao for a week and did four dive days (u003d 8 dives) with them, and all were just great. Although it starts really early every day (boat leaves at 7 am), but then you still have the whole afternoon for chilling or going to some of the great beaches or viewpoints on the island.
We did all our dives with Sam, he‘s a really good dive master and made us feel very safe and comfortable. Especially the trips to Chumphon are really worth it, there’s a lot to see, but also White Rock or the wreck are very good, the latter mainly for advanced divers as it’s below 18 meters.
The equipment is good, all trips are very well organized, the crew is super nice, also in the dive shop, they don’t try to sell you things you don’t need but just ensure you can do some great diving. The groups are always small, max 4 people, and adjusted to experience, so we did not have to dive with beginners. And the prices are really great, 800 THB per dive including equipment - we can definitely recommend Big Blue and hope we’ll come back!

Honestly, the best dive school experience, from start to finish.

The choice in Koh Tao is overwhelming, and it's quite difficult to separate the places, with prices similar across the board. You might spend a full day visiting each individual school and hear similar stuff.

But the thing that separates Big Blue from all the others is the absolute wealth of personality on offer from everyone there. From the first meeting with Steven, it was clear that Big Blue was full of personality.

That theme was continued exponentially by Will, our Dive Master for the next week, through both the open water and advanced course. His calming influence, care, attentiveness and humour allowed me to go from never diving before to going to 30m one week late.

It'll be hard to choose who to go with when you go to Koh Tao, so choose personality, humour and fun and go with Big Blue.

Fun dive for 2 weeks, 24 Dives in total, all with Big Blue, love the safety standard and professionalism and equipment maintanance (although I have my own, I rented for one day for letting my wetsuit and bcd dried haha)
So I even don't consider other Dive Shop because they did their job perfectly.

They get their own boats so leaving flexibility to go to the best dive sites of the day.
And it happens coz sometimes it could be windy in one side of the island then we have move the the other side of the island.

Everything is so good, excellent DM with good experience, thanks DM Sam, Benjamin, Mike, Verena, Steph dove with me all over the time.

Also the lovely managers Steven and June in the shop.

Small tip to fun divers: go to morning dives which will usually deeper and more advanced sites (more challenging, like current and depth, also more to see in returns)

Came to Koh Tao to do my advanced diving license and was instantly drawn to big blue for its high quality and fun experiences! turned out to be one of the best diving course i've done and would totally recommend to anyone planning to dive in koh tao, amazing views, vibes and good times!

Such an amazing experience. So much fun and mind blowing dive locations! You'll be hooked and never want to leave Koh Tao.

We completed the SSI Open Water course with Jade, were completely hooked, and jumped into the SSI Advanced Adventure course right away. Jade is an excellent, high-quality instructor and a marine biologist! She's very calm, upbeat, and very easy to understand/learn. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a marine biologist's insider knowledge during an SSI course. I'll be back to complete my night diving course - so amazing.
