Just today I visited this cave) it is a unique way to spend a holiday in Koh Lanta. They used to have guided tours to the cave and inside, but now they don’t have, so if you wanna visit you go at your own risk. The hike itself is medium-hard challenging. At some places you need to climb steep stairs and over rocks, you will step on the rocks are they are slippery, at times you will have to hold a rope and climb with an incline of 45 degrees. The way to a cave is not long around 15-30 mins through the jungle and then you arrive to a park ranger’s station. There you will have a challenge to find the entrance to the cave. It’s not obvious at all, I spent 15 mins climbing around until I finally found it. It’s a bit above, so you will climb a mountain to enter. The leader inside is broken so if you are an adventurous climber you will walk on the cave wall like I did, to enter the first chamber. There there is another ladder still not broken, but eaten by termites, so I didn’t risk to go down as it was the only way to enter inside and get out. I am a bit disappointed as I didn’t see bats…but this short and challenging hike is cool and energizing and is an experience itself.

Please note that cave is closed now, you can't get guide, lady who was at the office said guided tours office will be closed for long time and the ladder to the cave is broken.
We went for the short trek by the small waterfall this alone was fun and worth the hike!

Great adventure!
We visited this cave a month ago and really enjoyed the tour.
They do have guides there and I would not visit it without!
It is worth the money and if the cave is closed then I am sure there is a reason why.

I can say only one word about this: WOW! This wasn't like a normal boring cave trip where you just walk through the cave; for me this was an adventure! The entrance, guide and a flashlight cost 300bht so it was very cheap especially because the cave is quite deep in the jungle and trust me; you can't find it by yourself. The whole journey requires quite good physical shape and it can be rough for some people especially because there's lots of climbing and going down and the oxygen levels are quite low in the cave. The guide we had was good, he spoke English well and was talkative. We also saw few spiders and at the end of the tour we entered a cave full of bats. It was really an adventure and I can recommend it for all!

Takes about 30 minutes to get there. The guides are a reasonable price and a good accompaniment on the trek through the jungle. The waterfall is not massively impressive but it was a pleasant experience getting there. A good morning activity.

This cave was a real adventure! For 300 Baht I went with a local guide. (The guide was a catastrophe. He didn't speak a word English and was not willing to communicate in any way.)
But the way through the jungle and later through the huge cave sytem was a great experience!
Be aware that the way throug the jungle leads up a small river including a waterfall. There are some ropes that help you climbing up but it's not an easy stroll. You should be footproof also in the cave where it's very slippery. In there are ladders and a bamboo bridge you better not fall down...
To summarize: It's a fantastc adventure but you should be in a good health condition and bring 1,5 to 2 hours of time.

This cave is epic. Real adventure. Funny guide. One hour of exploring of it's endless tunnels and Chambers, some even 10m tall. Also small "pool" there and bat nest at the end. Not everywhere is bamboo rubbers, sometimes you need to climb on plain rocks, which makes it all more exciting and authentic. Deffinitively best thing to do in Koh Lantha.
