This is probably the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The woman is simply wonderful and she will cook you delicious food. I think I ate here four or five times during my stay. Recommended both for the food, the juicy shakes and for the hospitality.

One of the best thai food in the island (maybe one of the best in Thailand). The lady chef and the husband are the nicest and cutest host we have come across with. Stayed in Lanta for 4 days and atleast 6 meals we had there. Very simple restaurant and really professional cooking and taste. They don't speak much English but enough to make your stomach satisfy. You don't miss grandma's food and affection while you are having a meal at this place. For sure it's bit underrated because of the presentation of the restaurant but you won't regret eating up here and would definitely come back. Pretty good portions. Once you pay your bill you get a banana as a vote of thanks for the visit. :)

I have been there far too many times and it has been great each time. If you are staying in Koh Lanta, just take a moment to have a meal there.

Awesome Thai food in a tiny unobtrusive roadside venue . Mama is amazing and so friendly .. bbq is delicious .. really authentic delicious local food at a great price

My wife and I make it a point to eat here every day if only for some skewers and a shake. It's as much because of the delicious food as it is the friendly woman who runs the place. I can't speak her praises enough, so accommodating and she just radiates happiness. Our first visit we had Tom Yum soup and mango sticky rice. The soup was fantastic, and the mango sticky rice with coconut milk must be how vegans survive without ice cream because it felt like eating a delicious dessert. We stopped by today and had more BBQ'd chicken and she offered us a bottled sauce. I asked if it was spicy because I love spicy food. She quickly went to the kitchen and whipped up a spicy sauce (tasted like sesame oil, soy sauce, and spicy chili flakes). Pro tip: if you love spicy food, just point at yourself and smile and say 'ped mak mak' (it means 'really spicy'), because sometimes restaurants will tone down the spiciness for foreign palates, I'd say most restaurants do this. Anyway, I ordered a mango shake next, and when she came out with it, she gave the extra to my wife! Every time we come here (which is every day we've stayed in koh lanta) we are just blown away. Prices are low, service is outstanding, and the experience is amazing. Dont pass this place up.

Is tastes like real thai food ! I got the Chicken basil and it was delicious. And my coconut shake had real coconut flesh inside. It's cheap and the owners are really nice.
