Stayed here for 4 nights with a 7 month old baby. We had a room with a king bed, a crib and a balcony facing the forest. Try to request a room with a view; its lovely! The room is very spacious, very clean and the a/c+ fan combo works great in the hot and humid Thailand weather. Wifi is great in the room and the hotel is peaceful. There is no restaurant in the hotel and there is no pool or beach access. The hotel is about 1 km from the pier so make sure you don't get overcharged by taxi or scooter tuktuks (you can pay 80 baht but they will ask for 400 so bargain your price). The hotel is walking distance to the pier area where there are many restaurants. Try the restaurants facing the ocean, they have nice views in the morning (Kinnaree had a breakfast buffet for 150/person) and a nice breeze at night. Nearby, there is also a market (Lanta Plaza), many places to rent scooters (which I highly recommend to explore the island and its many beaches... 150-200 per day. We did this with a baby in his carrier and we felt very safe here) and across the street (about 150 m towards the pier) there is a foresty area where you can see monkeys at dusk. Buy some bananas from one of the stands and walk away from the street to feed the monkeys. It is frown upon to feed the monkeys so don't feed them while standing in the street. They are wild animals so don't tease them and don't let them come to close to you.
Room Tip: ask for a view to the forest
