The hotel staff were terrible. I asked the staff about renting a motorbike from them. He said no problem and was even going to give me 50baht off of the price. Although, the motorbike they rent out is small and there was two of us so we wanted a bigger scooter to be more comfortable. He saw that we rented one elsewhere and berated us for not renting from him when he came up to our room to help us with the hot water. Kept continuously saying he was angry with us because we didn’t rent from him. I told him his scooter was smaller and we had over an hour drive that day and he kept going on about how the bikes are the same size engine so it doesn’t make a difference in the size of the bike. at this point it was a day or two later after we had even had the other bike. Then we actually did rent it from him and the bike was a death trap. The steering was off and taking turns felt like we were gonna go down every time. Not only that, but my partner asked the staff about renting a car, she asked one of them if the place next door is the best place to go or if they know anywhere else, he then replied saying the shop doesn’t do cars, but outside is a big sign and picture saying rent a car which she told him and he replied that she knew more than him and carries on walking away from her. she was chasing him for an answer and he was just rude back to her (and the shop does have many cars which we ended up renting for a good price). Also, There is never anyone at reception(don’t understand why they don’t have a 24 hour receptionist. There was never anyone behind the desk once in the 6 days we stayed there unless someone called them. Some people don’t have SIM cards to be able to make phone calls so what would they have been able to do?). Just a phone number to call and then they will come. So on our last day, we had a shuttle bus to arrive at 8:00am to bring us to the airport. Because there is no receptionist, we had to call the number, wait at least 10 minutes for the worker to wake up, brush his teeth, get dressed and then come down to check us out. And even then he didn’t say a word. No apology, no thank you for staying just a whack with the money and keys. The bus was telling us they were going to leave us because it was taking so long. Not only that but there is a massive list of things that we could be charged for. For example, blood on the sheets would have been a charge of 800baht. My partner was actually on her period and so worried about getting blood on the sheets she wanted to sleep on the floor. How embarrassing would that have been when we went down to have them tell us we had to pay 800 baht extra for Mother Nature? No toothbrushes, hair dryers or anything. Just a bar of soap. The doors seem to be too small for the rooms and have big gaps that let the light shine through at night. The view out of our window was another room of the hotel next door. We could see right into someone’s room and before we knew about it he saw one of us naked. Definitely would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
