Very old school local Thai comfy food cooked and run by two old lady ,this is what soul food taste like ,nothing fancy ,just good old fashion home cooked food ,try it

Initially, we chose this quaint restaurant for an easy lunch, having the expectation that the food simply be an average-good place.
No, this place is a gem, and one where we will most definitely be returning to frequently.
Every dish was delicious; we cleaned each plate. (I recommend every dish we ordered - however, I’m sure all their food on the menu is equally superb) My personal favorite, the Chu Chee fish curry (ฉู่ฉี่ปลาดอกไม้), lightly pan-fried (flower¿) fish bathed in aromatic herbs. With every prawn dish we were given big, juicy prawns, and our pork panang was an abundance. Safe to say, this was highly good value.

Even more impressive than the delicious food were the two 70-80yo sisters who made the food. They told us stories and gave us knowledge I would never have imagined to gain from this humble restaurant. One of the sisters, back in the day, allegedly made food for the royal family here in Hua Hin, having graduated from FBI training in Sydney. The second of the sisters, learned anatomy and biochemistry and provided us with just endless bouts of knowledge. She was so inspiring - not only due to her age, but the depth and clarity of knowledge she told us was astounding. Both of them were one of a kind in Thailand, and to see them work a homely restaurant serving great food here was a joy to see, especially knowing their previous prolific experiences.
I highly recommend this place for those who want to taste simple, but high quality authentic Thai food, and those who enjoy listening to smart old ladies with plentiful experiences and knowledge to share.

Best authentic Thai food in the area. I always have the beef with oyster sauce. Unpretentious, delicious, value for money. Can't say that about the other restaurants on the street!

Great restaurant - excellent beef larb - level of spiciness was just perfect.

These ladies know what their doing when it comes to making delicious food.

Positives:
- Food was really great. Some of the best Thai home cooking-style I've had in HuaHin. The restaurants in general in HuaHin aren't generally famed for being great, but I think the food is good. 4 stars (out of 5). The fish in particular was delicious and very fresh.

Negatives:
- The decor and setting are so out of date. Perhaps some find this a positive and part of the charm. I did not.
- No air con. All outdoors.
- The biggest negative IMO is the atmosphere. The owner was lovely, but just sat next to us the whole meal. Obviously we don't want to be rude, but at the same time, it's just hard to enjoy the meal if she is staring at you the WHOLE meal. She didn't leave. Her sister was the one that did the cooking. They will also regale you with stories of their childhood and how they were born and grew up in Australia and then came to HH and worked for the King.

If you go perhaps when there's more people then you're unlikely to get this problem, but we went on Saturday lunch and we were the only patrons.

Food was awesomemazing!!!! The place is not very recognizable but you won't regret having your meal here. The owner, U-Sa, is a legend, especially with what she did with the place, i.e making a "road" for the king and many more. The place served us both delectable dishes and entertainment at the same time. Highly recommend this place. ????????????????
