I ordered the breakfast comfort food of Asia...congee, known as joke in Thailand. Joke is rice porridge, and is a delicious way to start the day. It was served garnished with shredded ginger, crispy noodles and scallions @ ฿125 + ฿20 for an egg. This pork ball joke was the most expensive I've had in 6 months in S.E. Asia. That said it was delicious, but so was the joke at Sampet Joke in Chiang Mai for about ฿45. The price of the food reflects what you would expect from a place with this level of quality service and food, at a prime location in a seaside tourist town. This is a clean, very nice, light and comfortable restaurant, with a friendly staff and rapid service. It's a chain restaurant, but doesn't give that 'cookie cutter' chain restaurant impression. They have very good coffee. I would've given five stars, except the price was a bit steep and quantity a bit reserved. I'm more of a small family owned local restaurant and streetfood fan.
