The hotel is a bit run down in recent years. Despite the room rates remain relatively cheaper than elsewhere, there is limited amenities available in the room, such as no wardrobe or extra table provided to store the luggage/ baggage. The hotel has done some painting to upkeep and give the room a new fresh look. Other than that, the service is generally considered better than average. There are friendly staff to assist with the check-in and checkout, making the process smooth and effortless with no time to waste.

We loved the place, good enough for 430 baht (on Agoda).
I'd stay again for this price or recommend my friends.
What we loved:
+ Very nice reception staff, speak good English, which is great
+ Cleaning and changing linens and towels every day, which is awesome'
+ Furniture isn't old, looks good, clean and neat;
+ There is a table you can have a meal on and a large screen TV;
+ Provides a parking;
DOWNSIDES :
- No wardrobes. If you have much baggage, you are going to place it on the floor. Even a smaller one would be helpful;
- No cups, cutlery or cattle, and forget about having a fridge in your room;
- No fresh bottled water and no shops around working after 10 to get some;
- If you are a couple and one wants to get out, you won't be able to use the elevator without your key, I'd better left a deposit and had another spare key than asking the reception staff to open the elevator every time I want to get upstairs;

No laundry in the hotel, but they have a laundry delivery option (quite expensive though);
No catering area, you have to eat in a restaurant or in your room;

Always loved Red Planet. It's centrality is crucial for Malaysian travellers. The air cons have improved and working greatly in my room. The fans great, and this morning, I discovered that the hotel has put out a screen against birds, rodents, and birds on the exterior of building. This allows occupants to enjoy the morning air and open the windows whilst they rest inside without succumbing to air conditioning. The air during the monsoons is crisp and sufficiently cool. There is, however, less amenities provided like hygiene kits and free bottles of mineral water. But that's fine because today, Red Planet is a functioning hotel in Hatyai. I have no complaints, but full of praises this time round. Thank you Red Planet for the improvements.

Rooms were good for the amt paid . Thb540 for an extended weekend holiday .
Check-in was smooth by Air and parking is ample and safe.

Nice and clean. The building is little old but it’s well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very nice and friendly staff. There is two elevators. Good location.

Good price, super spacious room and nice AC. Shower is a bit broken but still does the job. They don't do laundry here by the way.
