Though quick and easy, the "Airport Link" is the most unreliable means of transportation to the airport. I am a regular user but in the last 5 times that I used to travel from BKK to the airport, there were 2 times that the train broke down, one caused me to miss the flight. It usually takes about 25 mins if you are lucky that the train works as normal, but if you hit jackpot, it could take up to 45-1 hour. Yes, this is still called "Airport Link". Many times I think of using cab but in the morning the traffic can be hellish and will probably take up the same time to get there. So, up to you really if you want to take comfy long ride with taxi, or risky airport link. That pretty much sums up the life in BKK.

SRT and BTS. The rail line that connects you to the city. Bangkok is a huge huge city and taxi is not the most recommended way for a traveller. Road traffic can easily get on to your nerves. Found Metro/Rail to be the most efficient way to travel. One day pass at $4/person (BTS only) and a $9 local sim card (Valid for 10 day with 2.5 GB data) for GPS location check can be ur best guide to explore this humongous city. Even a month is less for complete exploration of the city, so you need to plan and stay very focused. Main attractions are:
u003e Sightseeing the city through the river cruise
u003e Ayutthaya- the ancient civilization
u003e Floating market
u003e Tiger village
u003e Elephant trekking
u003e Shopping in Bangkok
u003e High floor restaurants and Bar
u003e Crazy night markets
u003e The Ping Pong show
and I am barely scratching the surface of it. Give a 5 star to the rail network in the city.
