It is a beautiful hotel with large spacious room with wooden furniture. Nice pool and pleasant staff but smell of mold in the room was very strong. I arrived at 6 pm, noticed the smell in my room but needed to go out immediately for some work so informed the hotel about smell and left. I came back at 7:30 pm, seem they sprayed but moldy smell still very strong. I called and called to change the room but no staff anymore. I went down and found only one bellboy who was not authorized to deal with room and also serving as security. No restaurant, no room service, no cafe, no staff, no wonder it was empty. Breakfast is set served only with white bread. It was totally different when we came five years ago and stayed at the same hotel.

A very nice resort. The beach is just across the street. Very quiet too. The rooms are good and they have bath tub. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

So this was not a nice visit.

We visited some other hotels before choosing this one. And they are one of the more luxurious on the beach. But I can give them that it’s still kinda cheap to stay here.

The first room we got was unbearable to live in due to the strange smell coming from the AC. We were allowed to change immediately so all is good so far.

The other room wasn’t clean properly. A lot of ants and two dead moth-like things on the floor. But we didn’t have the energy to change again. Second-day cleaning we got dirty bed sheets with a big black mark on them. But they were changed immediately.

I didn’t visit the breakfast because my wife tried it the first day and she was very rudely met, screamed at and pointed towards different tables etc. so we ate at restaurants instead.

The hotel is kinda a nice but they are not taking care of it all. I asked them nicely if they could clean the pool because I wanted to use it. And they started to clean it for a while. The pictures are taken after the actual cleaning…. So I decided not to use it.

The gym was closed due to renovation but nobody was building anything there.

The complimentary water we were given each day had expired.

The location is good, close to the beach and good restaurants. Why I’m giving them two stars instead of one is that I got the feeling that the staff want to help, but sadly is still too much to be unhappy with.

Nice location, only the breakfast is below every standard, they have not even a modern coffee making machine.

Stayed there for 3 nights and it was not at all pleasant. Room was relatively decent size but it seems like their English is very poor and staffs were not friendly at all. Their food was very disappointing. I feel that they need to train their staffs how to deal with their guests. I have stayed at various type of hotels in Thailand and I must say it was, staying at Avalon, the worst experience I have ever had so far. This is more like a hotel for Russian, too many Russians and it seems like the staffs speak Russian better than English , so if you are not a Russian, avoid this hotel.

A beach front resort hotel in classic Thai building and decor, rooms are very spacious with a big balcony facing the pool, with full or partial seaview. Amenities are basically adequate, dental kit on request. The hotel has 2 entrances, one by the View Talay Condo and one direct to the Dongtan Beach. 10 minutes walk the Pattaya Bangkok Bus terminal. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The decor and furniture are little dated, but I personally love those heavy solid wood texture - it's not easy to find nowadays. Here it feels just like a relaxing vacation resort.
