Very high quality Buffett. We can enjoy both shabu and sushi's. Services staff are very nice.

The shabu materials were great. However, I prefer their sushi and desserts. There are variety of food. Not expensive comparing to the quality and choices.

Better than FYI branch, more spacious. I basically focus on Eel and salmon. Here Eel is very dry and sauce is not tasty as FYI branch and forget about it as I didn’t even receive the order. Poor service and they forget many orders. Shabu is good ????.

I’ve heard it said that you shouldn’t trust 1-star reviews online, so I’m giving Ekkamai’s Shibuya Shabu restaurant a 2/5 despite the fact that I would give 0 stars if it was at all possible. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, but the rest of the experience is lacking. The quality of service here is horrendous - and with the price you pay you might assume that the servers would look as if they cared, or that they might actually try to remember your order - but then you’re expecting too much. After not receiving the 80% of the sushi from our initial order, some 30 minutes after we had placed it, we kindly reminded one of the waitresses in hopes that it was just a mistake. Another 15-20 minutes later and we were still empty handed. But somehow we were able to place another order through the same waitress without ever having gotten the first one. It would have been nice if it looked as if she was going to try to remember our order, since she wasn’t writing it down, but at this point I knew not to expect our full order. I was right. My friends and I, again, didn’t get most of our order - and what we did get came late and looked less-than-presentable. Now I’m not one to care much for how my food looks, but, again, at this price point I’d assume there would be some effort put into the appearance. Not to mention how awkward it feels to place an order with someone who looks like they despise you - was it because we were foreigners? One Japanese, one Lao, and one Thai/American. We saw many other tables that came in after us with tables full of sushi. Who knows. The Shabu was Shabu - I won’t complain about that but will mention that I feel I’ve had better at Mrs. Wu in Chitlom or Fufu in Ari. The sushi that we did receive was alright, but I can order sushi from Kouen that is just as good without having to put up with the looks of disdain coming from the server. It is our fault for having come though - after having read the reviews I had a bad feeling about this restaurant but my friends and I went anyway because the location was central to where we all live. I would absolutely not go back when I can have better elsewhere for a cheaper price. The price aspect of it does not bother me anyways, but why pay more for a lesser experience? I own a restaurant in the States and spent four years as a waiter before becoming an owner - I can understand that it is certainly not the most enjoyable job out there and that it can be frustrating / soul-sucking. But not once did I look at my customers in a way that would make them feel uncomfortable to be dining at the restaurant I was working at. And as a buffet, if you feel uncomfortable to order from your waitress you will not have a good experience. Three customers, 2200+ baht, so-so food but a very negative experience. If you’re smart, you’ll read the reviews and take them to heart. If you’re not, you’ll make the same mistake my friends and I made and will spend your money anyway. If so, I can only hope that your experience will be much better than ours. I wish you all reading this the best of luck. And to make note - it wasn’t busy at all when we were dining.

Best,

Great Shabu Experience in Ekamai, Bangkok.
Price a bit high but quality is also high as price. You will not regret it.

Good quality meat comparing to the budget you are spending per meal. The meat and order are very slow to be delivered to your table. The waiters and waitresses work with a carefree attitude.

ROI : 4/5
Meat quality: 4/5 (based in budget)
Variety: 3/5
Service: 2/5
