Just happened to walk in while looking for a restaurant in the neighborhood, and it was the best decision we made! Food was so delicious and flavorful. Staff were attentive and the restaurant was surrounded by a pretty garden with palm trees and flowers. Totally want to visit again soon.

TLDR: The food here is delicious and the service is incredibly hospitable.

It took a while to communicate since I don't speak Thai and I was trying to ask some questions but eventually I ordered a red curry dish off the menu, which is very clearly in English, and it was awesome. Not too spicey though so next time I will ask them to kick it up a notch.

I saw a review or two that said it was pricey but I was completely full for 200 Baht. Maybe just a local vs. a foreigner's perspective.

The restaurant itself is a pretty little quaint spot that is really easy to get to from Ekkamai/Thong Lor. Despite being close and sitting outside, I felt like I was sitting in a sanctuary because it was so relaxing and peaceful.

I'll be back, probably tomorrow, and will try something different. I'm just surprised the place wasn't full when I went.

Authentic and delicious! There were a few customers but the food was really good. I really liked pineapple and shrimp red curry! And the server was really nice too!

There are multiple SAW SAM SAI restaurants in BKK. The one I am talking about is located at Sukhumvit 61. This is the best “authentic” Thai food restaurant in Bangkok. The food is super delicious but also highly addictive. Be warned!!! My stays in Bangkok are not complete without having lunch and/or dinner at So Sam Sai. I can’t praise the restaurant enough.
