Another one of Bangkok's hidden gems, I think. It's just up the street from the Sukhumvit MRT station, and the museum provided some interesting insights to Lanna culture. It's 100 Baht to get in, and there's lots of information about early Thai traditions. Descriptions about the artifacts and displays are written in both Thai and English. You can see everything in an hour or two, but I've been back a few times just to enjoy the culture.

I really enjoyed learning about the Lanna Culture, their beliefs, traditions and way of life. A simple life, but a good life.
The site of the museum is dwarfed by an enormous skyscraper behind throwing the old tradition way of living into sharp juxtaposition with modern life.
This beautiful wooden house dates back to 1848 and was moved meticulously to the current site from near Chiang Mai in 1963. An information leaflet in English is available. A donation of 100 Bhat is requested, well worth it. Do go visit if you are in the area.

Nice place to know about the culture and history of native Thai's. You need to take ticket of 100 Bhat to see the place. It's not very big place just one house with nicely preserved house hold contents. In one shot you can just cover entire house in 10 minutes. But if like to spend time to know history of the place then it can take a while.

Very nice, well maintained, big enough house. Interesting exposition, good descriptions in English, and not crowded. Worth visit if you are into Thai history

It is a small but nice place to visit if you have a very short time in Bangkok, very convenient to reach too by BTS or MRT Asoke Station. Here you can feel fresh from big tree and plants as it seems you are back to hundred year ago from the original Lanna style of this house. There is no guide but you can read and even watch from vdo in some rooms.

Very small but nice old Thai style building to visit, to understand the classic living way of Siam people. Very hard to keep such a peaceful place in CBD.

Not much to see. It takes 100 B to see the house and actually there are not many things to see. However, if you love history, this palce has a bit information about typical Thai Village.
