In General, the hospital is well established and capable of handling a large number of patients for various specialized treatments. I have been working in the healthcare business for over 30 years and one of the most important issue is hospital staff attitude.
I have visited this military hospital twice in the past 2 months as a companion with my Thai female partner and I have been very happy with the setup and the staff. However, during both my visits, one particular ENT doctors' attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional which has given me a bad impression. My partner is unable to speak because she has a tracheotomy and is unable to give any details or answers easily and needs me for assistance. when my partner was called in, I waited outside and told her to take permission from the doctor first for me to go in. Both times, my partner called for me in and this doctor just looks at me and the first time he did not even acknowledge my presence. He asked the nurse to tell me to go out and wait outside. The second time, again, my partner called for me and the same doctor just looked at me then turned his face away and started talking to my partner ignoring me totally so I just walked away.
Doctors should be taught on how to behave with patients and their companions before they are allowed to perform any treatments. I understand that in some cases, a patient may need some privacy and the doctor should politely inform me that I should wait outside or something.
Other than that, some minor issues need to be addressed on hygiene, signage, staff management, queuing system, organised timed appointments, etc
