August 2022 - Hostel was boarded up/closed when I walked by. A guy nearby said it was due to COVID and it probably wouldn’t open for another 6 months. Hope this place comes roaring back soon, the party must go on!

Alright.
These guys can really sort things out.

On my arrival had a problem with one of the private rooms as it has a really bad smell.
Turned out it was the Thai contractors and have advised to have them off and fix the issues.

Manager Yushy and John Fish were very helpful and sorted out the situation. They apologised and made sure it won't happen again.

I'm glad the staff was very professional.
They refunded me and accommodated me in another room for the second night so everything went well.

Recommended!

If you have any problems they will take care of it.

The location of the place is perfect BUT ... The service of the hostel is very lacking. Personal at the reception and by the bar are very unwelcoming and I never got the feeling of helpfulness during any of my several encounters with them. The trip center is separate and it is impossible to book a guided trip after a certain hour of the day, which is quite weird as back-packers usually book spontaneous trips. The availability should be higher. Breakfast is not included neither which is quite a pitty given the fact that their prices are still quite high. We booked a private room for 4 nights and we had to ask for room cleaning service everytime as they forgot us everytime. All in all a bad experience here and the only upside we found was in the location.

Planning a trip to khaosan then definitely have a stay at bodega khaosan. Super chilled out staff and a place to new backpackers from all over the world. And the most important note the series of free shots never stops at this place. So keep the alcohol levels in your blood always high af.
