Part Museum and Part Art Gallery it's free to visit and makes for a great double event with the nearby Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall.
Two floors, the 2nd Floor is all about ASEAN, the collaboration of 10 SE Asian Countries. Its great and quite good fun as you have many interactive displays where you can compare the similarities as well as differences between each country. For example, see yourself dressed in the National Costumes of each country. See popular dishes prepared by a Cartoon Type chef etc.
The other part of the building on the 1st floor is a display of modern art, paintings and video, as well as photographic themes like martial arts, national festivals and National Dresses. Easily spend an hour here so three hours if you combine with Rattanakosin.

Amazing gallery for visiting, calm, lot of space.

Sometimes I was missing the context and info about each piece, but in general very recommend to see.

Excellent exhibition space, open to the public with no entrance fees. Historical art and contemporary art on display depending on curators. Several bus routes to help you get here.. and very much enjoyed by the young and old with a slow trickle of various patrons, fans and connoisseurs working their way through. If you like the art-scene in Thailand, this is also a space you would want visit. Thumbs up!

Very interesting art center.
Many great surprises waiting the visitors.
Three floors of great art, culture, work shop, exhibitions, history lessons and fun.
It's free entry for everyone and no limit time to spend inside.
It's in a unique location where you once you finished, you can walk to another two art museums next door and the Golden Temple near by.
Undoubtedly, it's a fantastic art center you must visit if you are in Bangkok.

A/C-proof, or at least cooler than the outside.
Oh, and IT'S FREE!!!!!!!!!!
You'll only have to register at plenty of stations on every floor :)
Plenty of great art, though. The last floor specifically, all about the ASEAN association and community, is VERY well done. Temporary exhibits on lower floors are also very much worth it, with wonderful sculptures and great paintings. Very impressive exhibition designing all throughout.
I highly recommend!
