Beautiful park. I sat and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery, well worth a visit if you are in Bangkok to relax and take a bit of time out of a busy hectic city. Wow, I have attached some photos to share the serenity. Blessed.

After the old wooden houses had regrettably been demolished and some big old trees cut down the area became a rather dull public park consisting mainly of a big lawn. Its saving grace are the Mahakan fort, the remains of the old city wall and it's location next to a junction of canals. However, when I passed by end October 2020 I noticed gardeners were busy planting lots of flowering plants, making the park looking more attractive. What's still missing though is something that would make it worthwhile to stay a bit longer. Why not convert the old "Royal waiting room" into a cafe with a terrace in front where one could enjoy a view of the park and another one on the back where one could watch the activities on the canal?

Great public park for relaxing! Beautiful scenery full with flowers! Nearby a lot of good food and historical places.

Such a lovely hidden park with beautiful views across to the Golden Mount. Lovely place to stop for a picnic with street food vendors just by the gates. There are free public toilets and two interpretation panels that explain the history of this part of town. You are also just along the canal.

The park used to be where the old community have been settling. They were evicted and the BMA quickly demolished these historical site and turned into effectively lawn. Without the existing Banyan trees the was grown since the community time, there isn't much to look at. Rather have the old wooden houses. It is good to create more green space for Bangkok but at what price.
