I always visit the Bangkok Bar when I'm on Khao San they always have great happy hours and the live bands are usually very good. The staff are great and always a lot of fun

Live music and expensive drinks.
The bands are great, hard rock and nu metal.
Drinks are pricey, but the venue is free.
Gotta recommend this place, quality service and the toilets are 4/10

For 1st floor there is nice live music for someone who likes that kind of music also.
2nd floor there is Thai live music. It's really good and awesome. Good music, good sound.
a taste of food is normal, not special.

Not that great. Rude staff. Would not allow us to even look at the menu from the restaurant next door, even though we had a group of 6 - all drinking. We told them we would eat next door and we're just looking ahead if time. The waitress actually pulled the menu out of my hands.

A woman with an almost empty bottle of water was denied entry unless she threw the water out...just ridiculous service for a bar that doesn't have all that much to offer. I'd prefer to go soewhere else.
