Overall decent food. Impressive variety of sweets. Sashimi quality is bad as expected from normal hotel buffet.

We got Eatigo deal for 50% of the original price and I think this is what the meal worth. Full price is a little high compare to the quality of food.

Staff are quite nice and quick, unlike what some reviews have said.

The World offered Sunday brunch is located on the 24th floor of Centara Grand Hotel. The restaurant was spacious and not crowded. Very cozy. Staff were attentive and friendly. Free flow of wine, soft drinks and fresh coconuts. The seafood corner was refilled frequently and the snow crab was the highlight. Food quality was very good and fresh. A mix of different cuisines including Japanese sushi and sashimi, Chinese likes suckling pig, shark 's fin soup and dim sum, thai curry, hainamese chicken rice, salad bar, dessert station were all tasty and mouthwatering. Choices were abundant. Every now and then the restaurant would have specific theme. Love its idea. The only disappointment was the lack of steak or roast beef kind of dish. The pastry wrapped fish should better be replaced by beef wellingtons as the former was served but no one touched.

We had a free gift voucher for an Australian buffet dinner on Sunday. The restaurant is big with lots of tables but many tables were empty.

There are a variety of food, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Western. However, the restaurant managed to make almost all of their food taste bad. The sashimi were sloppy like wet tissue, the Thai food weren't traditional and all the western food were made a long time ago. Most of the hot food were actually cold and the sauces dried out, the cook makes no effort in keeping the food hot over the course of a few hours. HOWEVER, the Australian beef was very good, good enough to pull up one star.

Service: ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH! Employees are scarce and totally forget about you. Also, the service they provide to you is of the poorest standard for a four/five star professional hotel. Although, this neglect could be because we are using a free voucher, which is NO excuse for such bad service.

Went there for a buffet lunch. A good range of foods and desserts to enjoy. Venue is spacious and staff are polite and friendly. Was having a good time there.

There are some mixed reviews on The World Restaurant's Buffet and Service levels at Grand Centara. But I decided to book the Christmas Eve Buffet this year.

Compared to some of the other 5 star Hotels such as the Marriot, Sheraton and Pullman the price was far morn reasonable. It was roughly 2300thb each including free flow wine and various other drinks.

Many other hotels of the same rating were asking for 4000 thb plus for buffet inc drinks.

The quality of the food on offer was fantastic with plenty of western options for the Christmas season. Meat quality including Ham, Beef and Turkey were all top grade but there were also so many other choices for others. The sea food quality was up there and as you can see by the photos their dessert selection for Christmas was very impressive and creative.

On top of that the level of service we received from the staff was exceptional. There were more than enough staff to always see to your needs and to top up your drink and it was service with a smile at all the way.

In the end it was first class food and service at such a great price.

We had an unbelievable evening here.

Food was alright, service was only fine but could be better. A variety of breakfast but some of them were cold., eg. Waffles.

Can understand why they won the best buffet award for 2017. For the breakfast buffet there is freshly pressed juices, great spread of bread, pastry and even freshly made Thai milk tea and coffee. A must try for anyone staying here.
