I have patronised Sam Yan marked for almost 50 years. Having seen the market at the original location and moved to the present location, I must say that the market has improved over the years. I believe it will continue to serve the community. There are food supplies that i can not find in supermarket. Price remain competitive.

The best and big market for buying Vegetarian food so, it is J festival ( 6-14 Oct). Chinese people in Thailand include my family also join and buy Vegeterian ( J food) to eat. This is update photos that I just went there. The sellers there told me that in Pandemic time that the market closed 9 times so, this present time that no too busy.

The best fresh market in Bkk. Reasonable price and cleanliness market. Also, big car park. There are 2 floors here; first floor sell fresh food and the second floor service some food shops.

Great place for fresh food and vegetables. This is probably the place hi so traditional Thai Chinese people go to get their food. Opens in the early morning, until about 5, but many shops are likely closed after 12. I go here for the fish, very fresh but expect to pay a premium

Fresh sweets, kind people,no scam, various kind of foods, you can buy almonds no added sugar and salt.
This is the best. Not too big,not too small.
Local people use this market.
Arrive at 7:40 in the morning is the best.

As a foreigner, I definitely got some odd looks for being here. It’s an interesting cultural market to experience, but it’s not a touristic activity. Goods were laid out beautifully, especially the fruits.

Variety of choice raging from fruits, vegetables, meats, food, flowers, Desserts (especially Thai desserts), snacks, some cloths and small kitchenware at reasonable price. Parking lot is available free for 15 mins. STARTING from 20 bath.

I guess this market makes sense if you live in Bangkok and need to stock up on fresh food.
From a tourist perspective, it was just so so. Not worth a specific trip, in my opinion.
