Everything just tasted umami. They have the right balance of saltiness, sweetness, and acidity. The japanese rice is especially well-cooked to the point of being shiny. The uni was fresh and paired well with the salmon roe. The pork nabe was rich and went super well with the rice and pickled condiments. I would recommend putting the green spice that they provide into the soup— it’s a game changer. Prices are on the higher end of reasonable, but you get what you pay for.

MOTSU restaurant. Taste ok but service wasn’t good as we paid for. Came wrong dish what was ordered. Should be improved more to come back again.

Good points first; all the food was good to great and the staff does try to make an effort to speak Japanese and treat you nicely.
My personal recommendation would be the Matcha Tonyu Pudding for dessert, which was simply amazing. The place itself is quiet and clean.
Now why I cannot give it 5 stars even though the food was pretty good; prices are quite high and I could recommend a few places that are cheaper with the same quality or better.
Especially the 1200 THB for the pork shabu shabu was steep. It is not a lot and the pork wasn't really the best ... And we tried to order one of the courses that they have on the last page of their menu, but those you have to order a day in advance... At the end they said we can order them but only with Nabe, not with Shabu Shabu ... It was very weird and we just ordered the contents one by one ... Not sure what that was all about.
And the last point was that the waiters sometimes talked behind out backs or yelled stuff at each other which took us a bit out of the moment

Overall good food but in my opinion too highly priced

Although is pricy, the food taste like you are in Japan. Fish are fresh and is very traditional. However, the miso soup is very salty!

You can enjoy excellent Japanese meals. Lunch is expensive but reasonable quality. Ten-don (see photos) is best in Bangkok ever I've eaten.

Quiet place where you can feel calm while having lunch. Recommend Shiro Buta Nabe, Japanese Rice, Tempura u0026 Fried Tofu. Spare some space for Pudding Matcha. You can check if they offer different type of pork without fat.
