This temple is well known for its 'leaning' pagoda. It's one of the landmarks in Nonthaburi, located on Koh Kret.

Okay this is not strictly about the Wat, it's more of a report on the Island of Koh Kret. I would say that this peaceful little island is one of the best kept secrets in Bangkok tourism at the moment. It takes a bit of work to get here due to the fact you need to travel up the Chao Praya for at least an hour on a ferry boat from Saphan Taksin. Once you arrive at the last jetty at Nonthaburi you have two choices to get to the island. The first and easiest is to hire a long tail boat at the Nonthaburi Jetty to take you directly to the island. The price for the long tail boat hire is approx. 800 THB and includes the return trip. If your on a budget the second and cheaper option is to grab a taxi and make your way further along the river bank until you reach another small jetty which is directly across from the island's main jetty. When you get the taxi simply tell the driver "Koh Kret ferry boat" and he'll know where to go. Once on the island the relaxed pace of life, compared with the urban mania back across the river, is something to savour. To see the island you can either walk or hire a bicycle and do the six kilometre circuit. On the way you'll see lots of the intricate pottery which the island famous for. Prices vary from one vendor to another so it's best to shop around before you buy.

Really peaceful place for one day trip. It's not far from Bangkok where you can see the traditional way of living along the river.
