Love the Japanese atmosphere of the place. Must have time to try buffet before 16:00. Beer buffet also provided here.

We had a table for three and enjoyed our visit here.

I will try to keep this short and come up with 3 points that i personally liked and 3 things where Okina could improve upon.

+ Many choices.
+ Variety of drinks available is good, especially the Japanese import.
+ The setting of the place looks cozy and feels Japanese.

- The staff could be trained better. As Okina makes you feel like you are in Japan but it is missing the Japanese customer service and eye for detail. In our case we had an older waitress who knew the menu, how to engage with the people and was regularly looking if every customer was satisfied. Versus a nervous looking younger girl who did not know the menu, felt like she did not want to be there and handled the dishes in and out awkwardly.
- The food was average wich can be greatly improved if the chefs get proper training/courses regarding Japanese food. Versus other Japanese restuarants we have been in the same segment, we felt a distinct difference in temperature, taste and presentation.
- There was no fresh Wasabi. However this issue had been explained by the staff and they apologized for it. The reason was that they had a unexpected group of people coming in and did not plan on it.

All together we still think this place has a ton of potential and possibly could be one of the top ones in the area but at the same time a few things to work on.

We wish Okina Izakaya all the best and will try again later to see if we can rate them 5 stars!

One of the Japanese restaurant in Nonthaburi.
They close around midnight.
They serve a varieties of Japanese foods - Sashimi to Big Meal.
I always hangout with friend - Beer, Japanese whiskey, hi-ball and more.
.
Price is a bit high but not much.

Small but cozy. Nice japanese food with warm atmosphere. Not expensive but good taste.

Foods are so so tend to lower side. At this price point, there are a lot of better places in this area. Especially Mueng Thong area.
