Impressive dragon statue with a fountain in the heart of a park a stone’s throw away from the main beat of Phuket Old Town declaring the island’s rich Chinoise heritage. The space becomes lively during the weekends especially on Sundays when the Street Night Market is up on the main thoroughfare just across the statue.

Nice little park area, plus on the Sunday night market has spread out to this street, actually gets a breeze there, the fried bananas where delicious

I visited in the morning, so it's quiet and no many people. Besides, a golden dragon statue, also there's a monument that give an information about dragon philosophy.

This statue is part of 72nd Anniversary Queen Sirikit Park of Phuket City. The park is small but clean and comfortable. I unintentionally came to this park when I was exploring the old town of Phuket. There were some locals and tourists enjoying the park together, sitting calmly or walking below the trees. A good spot for a short rest when you're in the town.

The golden dragon. It is a small park in the middle of Phuket town.

The dragon is the symbolic of Phuket because people say that Phuket island looks like dragon (if you see it in the right angle)

On weekend or special holiday, there is a food market on this street.

If you’re tourist, there is nothing here but if you’re lucky and come here in the right day, the market will have hundred of street food and shows.

It used to have yoga and aerobic dance but due to covid situation, the activities were stopped.

When I was young, I like to come here with my friends. We called the statue ‘the golden chicken’. I don’t know why. It has a playground on the building behide the statue but now no one maintenance so it’s gone now.
