The Chinotel is a Hotel that has a very reliable service when it comes to Sandbox bookings. Thats the best and quices service compared to some other sandbox hotels . I booked for my Thai Girlfriend ths Feb 2021 and she had a flight change and delayed arrival 24 Hours in Phuket due to Plane Techno Problems. But the hotel did the rebooking very Quickly and reinformed the Taxi driver gave us the Phone Number of the Taxi driver and very detaild istruction. Everything went well and they were even so generous that they shifted the missed night due to delayed arrivel to the end of the stay. Super Very generous and very professional the Hotel is Clean and from here you can easily reach Restaurants and Songteaws (small Busses) that bring you to any of the beaches for a fair price. . rooms are not too big but for this quite low price i got we are more than contented. In corona Times traveling generates a lot of extra expenses and trouble but this Hotel helps you to minimize both cost and trouble. Therefore here 5 Star . And our Thanks again.

I had a few problems with this place. The staff was kind and friendly and the location was right in the center of things, but….. I had an unpleasant four days stuck in that tiny room which I had unfortunately paid for in advance. It was not exactly UNDERpriced
The most disconcerting thing about the room was that he promised WiFi was totally unworkable. I was given 12 different passwords for 12 different routers and told to try them all until I found the one that worked. I literally spent hours plugging in passwords for the internet connection. None of them would connect for more than 5 minutes before fading out. Complete inability to connect with the internet prevented me from booking a flight back home and ended up costing me a lot of money.
I booked a "standard" sized room. "Standard" at Chinotel turns out to mean postage stamp size. There is barely enough space to turn around. My partner and I felt extremely cramped as we tried to negotiate past each other to get to the bathroom
Ah, the bathroom! The shower has two temperature settings: Hellacious Hot or Subarctic Cold--nothing between. Secondly the toilet would barely flush. It droned on several minutes then made a loud gurgling sound as if it were about to throw up as it strained refill the tank with cleaner water.
The hotel has 5 floors, but no elevator. Struggling up to the 5th floor would probably leave older and/or less athletic individuals a little "winded"
The hotel is built right over the street in the busiest part of the city. There is constant activity and traffic on the street going on all night every night. For my partner, who is a light sleeper, this was quite a challenge.
On the positive side of the ledger, the hotel is well located for participating in the Chinese Vegetarian Festival. The parades go directly by the hotel and food vendors are right outside the door.
The staff is affable and speaks a bit of English. The friendly lady in the morning booked us a taxi to take us to the airport the next day. At the appointed hour, 6AM, the taxi failed to show up. We had to demand our money back and rush out to the street to flag down a street taxi to rush us to the airport in time.
Chinotel turned out to be quite an adventure, not one I hope to repeat any time soon.

The real situation is different with what we can see at web booking page. Most of the electical items inside the room is not check properly before passed the key to the guest. No elevator, you have to climb until 4th floor by staircase. Not suitable for the guest have wheelchair.

I had a late arrival and a very short stay in phuket hence choose Chinotel in Phuket town and it did not disappoint me. Could have found better options for a budget trip, however wont complain as the receptionist was very helpful and good with English. Paid 800 bhat for a night. No lifts here !!! Found the tuk tuk right outside the hotel to take us to the tier. It took 10 min and 200 bhat for 4 ppl to the rasada pier which was a good bargain I guess. Will defiantly suggest the hotel for a short stay in that area.
