Positive: In a convenient enough location (the center is reachable by 20 minutes walk or grab/taxi), Wangkaew Hotel has surprisingly big, extremely comfortable rooms (that are really mini apartments), provided also with many extras (flat screen tv, fridge, big bathroom with separate shower, small kitchen basin). I was situated on the 7th floor and my room was very quiet, plus had a nice view on the greenery. This place would be ideal for long-term rents.. Negative: Nothing that I can think of..

Despite booking the hotel at 9am in the morning and receiving an booking confirmation number - when I arrived at the hotel after 8 hour drive from Udon Thani with my wife and 4 year old son - Wang Kaew Hotel did not honour my reservation. They had rented out my reserved room to another walk-in customer.

This is the first time that has happened with me and I use Agoda.

Very poor service - they hadn't even bothered to open the booking email from Agoda earlier in the day. Very lazy.

Positive: The big room. Negative: Personeel can not speak english. We had to communicatie via iPhone translation system. No streek map available..
