The museum needs some serious maintenance. The building has historical value as the original King's College campus, then City Hall, then Administrative training center and currently a museum. Sad to see how run down it is both exterior and museum content.

No admission fee. The museum has two floors exhibiting the history of Nonthaburi province and the building that the museum is housed in.

English and Thai descriptions provided.

Great for a short visit while waiting for the ferry, will probably be a bit too small for a special visit.

I live in Nontaburi but this was the first time I visit. It looks good to take some photo but may be because no one take care of it as good as it could has. Many wall and decorations are broken. Museum doesn't have any improvement.

Anyway, if you come to Nontaburi. You should come to this place a less once.

We stumbled onto this small museum during a Nonthaburi stop in our riverboat trip, and found it worth a visit. While nothing fancy, the 4-room museum provides a glimpse in what makes this province unique. Its 200+year origin, its multi-racial communities, its famous people, fruit (Durian), etc. Since most materials are in both Thais and English, our two American friends get to enjoy it too. We end up spending an hour there.

ps: The museum should be more thoughtful and provide models for the visually-impaired to feel/touch. Also, please assign a caretaker who loves Nonthaburi, someone who cares about this museum. (The one we met doesn't.)

an old municipal building of the city. It was good they reserve the place instead of destroying and replacing a cement. The wood that they use was still in good condition. The building light up at night time.

Lovely historical place and really nice artifacts inside but small. 20 - 30 minutes max.
