I was booked into this hotel by a friend who assumed I wanted to be close to some nightlife.
To be honest it was cheap at around 450 baht and if you don't care about too much then maybe this hotel will work. For me personally it was basic, shabby and not a hotel I would use again however for budget travelers this may work fine.
Besides the old, dated and somewhat in disrepair rooms. They did have "working" hot water which was a surprising bonus.

5 stars for the sheer practical value. Understated, but welcoming staff. Be patient, there's not always someone at the desk waiting these days.

It's cheap, at only 300 baht you can get a room with fan, free Wi-Fi, TV, hot shower, soap, towel and a bottle of drinking water.
It's located in the middle of the city and all taxi guys know it.

Very basic. Clean, but hard bed. The rest of the room not so clean. Bring insect spray and disinfectant tissues, and you will be alright. They allow pets in the rooms on the ground floor.

Somewhat old and run-down, but centrally located and cheap. Fan rooms start at 300 baht.
