This rating is for the fried prawns. Over-fried, and terrible. Frying is an art in order to get the texture right. As you can see, they failed. Wooden-brown is not what you would go for when frying. There is a reason why golden-brown is the standard of excellence when it comes to frying and it seems in my travels in Asia, the Taiwanese and Japanese have nailed the art of frying. I had to discard the terribly burnt coating, and just get to the prawns.
The spicy salad was decent, but nothing remarkable, given this common dish that practically every restaurant here can cook.
