Overall this is a pretty nice hotel. The staff are friendly and are doing their best. The facilities are beautiful. For the price we paid, not bad at all. But I have a problem when you advertise as a 5-star hotel and you barely eclipse four stars. Make no mistake, this is nowhere close to a 5-star hotel.
1. No cotton buds in the room. I asked and the staff told me they should be there. When I called reception to say there were none, they said the would bring some, only to call back five minutes later and say they would bring some in the morning because they were out of stock. At 1pm the next day, still nothing.
2. There was a light in our room that was motion-sensor activated. This is fine, but it would sometimes go off in the middle of the night without me even getting out of bed. No way to turn it off other than wait 1 minute.
3. No proper bar with proper drinks. There was a bar at the pool but it was not open at night. The so-called “bar” attached to the restaurant is not a bar.
4. The food was average at best. The breakfast buffet quite underwhelming. Would not recommend splurging on the breakfast.
For a nice relaxing hotel with beautiful surroundings, it’s fine. Just don’t expect five-star level as advertised.
