This place will always be the best memory of my entire Krabi trip. Just over three days, I have developed a deeply emotional connection to this place. And I am writing this, while still being here in Krabi. I and my partner are staying at the Shell Sea. And we wondered if we could go to a nearby local place to eat. And Godle appeared just at the right moment. I must say that the Pad Thai here is one of the most authentic. You will not find such pad Thai even at Ao Nang Town and Market. The prawns and shrimps are so fresh. For a sea food lover like me, it turned out to be pure heaven.
The lady who cooks and greets you does it out of pure joy and delight. She is so generous, o my god, I cannot begin to describe. She doesn’t speak English, but conveys everything with love, care and deep empathy. She is so much more than the owner and chef of this place. As I mentioned earlier: the food, the small seating area, the sea and the ambience is a deeply emotional experience for us. She also prepares an amazing fruit salad - all by herself - by the end of each meal. Today, as I write this, she prepared a special sweet dish with coconut milk and bananas - which was absolute divine. She never charged us for it. And that’s the reason I speak of her generosity here.
Please visit Godle. Eat everything you can on the menu.i loved every single dish. Try out every prawn and shrimp dish with rice. Especially the shrimp in tamarind sauce. These are heavenly dishes made with a lot of, lot of love. ❤️
