Railay Thai Cuisine

Went here twice during our stay at Railay, once for pizza (decent for Thailand) and once for Thai (baked sea bass- good!). Nice vibe, live music, and service was pretty good (understandably slower as they got pretty busy later).

I think some of the negative reviewers don't understand that in Thailand there is a different concept of ordering and receiving food. You order all at once and it comes out when it's ready, which could be fast or slow depending on the dish.

Almost half of the menu items were out of stock (simple stuff like club sandwich, garlic bread…vegetable salad…ridiculous!) and the once on the menu were not good to put it mildly! Pizza was ok but Thai spicy salad, stir fried vegetables were literally terrible and the squid we ordered came about 45 mins late, cold and tasted like it’s been sitting in a kitchen all day! My gf had stomach issues after eating couple of bites!

We actually just ended up getting pizza in the end, which were pretty good, wood fired with thin crispy base. The top part is cool to sit on (must take shoes off for upstairs)
However, like some others have stated there was little to no service, it may be because we were upstairs but they didn’t come back once to see if we wanted more drinks, and when we were handed the menus the waiter waited next to us for us to order which felt a bit pressured to order quick and didn’t have time to browse.
They had some nice live music on at night :)

Just don't bother. The main positive I have is that the performers were great and really lovely people. The staff were not attentive and it seemed even us asking for the bill was an inconvenience for them. The food from Railay Cuisine is really terrible. I had Chicken Tom Yam and it was disgusting, and so was my partners green curry (the worst we’d had in our two months of travelling). We both felt ill for two days after with stomach issues and we also saw a rat upstairs!???? Just avoid it

Good food .. Great value.. excellent atmosphere and friendly service. An excellent alternative to hotel and resort meals... casual dress code. Island style looks .. a bit of a walk (in the middle of walking street in Railay)
No reservations required and plenty of tables and services offered (forex and massage included) .. a must do stop if you find yourself here.

Tasty food and a big menu. Happy and helpful staff. Music and a lovely atmosphere!
Perhaps could have had more chicken in the chicken cashew nuts and spicier chicken with basil.
Lovely place for dinner ????

Authentic southern thai foods, fresh ingredients, great atmosphere in the middle of Railay walking street. Reasonable price and super friendly staffs.
