The male bartender’s attitude was very off putting and negative. No welcoming disposition, not even a smile throughout the entire time I was there. I accidentally put the paper trash from my straw cover on the plate next to me, which only had a few scraps of food left. There was no one sitting there, so I assumed the person left. Well, the bartender scolded me (in Thai) for doing so, like I killed his cat or something. Then minutes later, a group of people ordering drinks to-go nearly did it again. I tried to joke and say ‘Hey, I’m not the only one doing this’. He just leered at me, uninterested in engaging or having some friendly banter. Whelp, I tried. The Singapore Sling was actually really good and exceptional for the price. But the negative energy of the staff was such a turn off that I only had a few sips of my drink and left. I don’t mind returning and giving it another try when the energy of the place is better. 2 stars.

Really cool little place to get decent quality cocktails at incredibly low prices (THB 99). The bartenders were friendly and it's a nice place to sit and have a drink, when there are stools free (If not, you can take them down to the beach to drink).

ChaPlu is a little street cocktail bar that plays great chill out music. Easily the best cocktails in Ao Nang, and for only 99 baht at all times. Friendly staff also. We tried loads but my favourite is Xanax. You got to try.

The best cocktails in town for only 99฿, passionfruit mojito is amazing! The staff was very friendly, the bar itself is a small booth with a few stools in front, there's also the bus stop seat where we sat a lot of time enjoying our drinks and watching people and traffic passing by. You can also take the drinks with you as they're always made into plastic cups with straws.
