Really nice hike up to the temple - would recommend bringing bug spray and a waterproof jacket, particularly if visiting in the rainy season as we did! The hike is fairly uneven underfoot but relatively easy and not very long. Temple at the top is definitely worth it - really impressive views and the temple itself is amazing. Stayed here for ages, really nice place to sit and relax after the hike, and very peaceful.

This is a nice place to hike. It's a quick hike not that steep but several places with uneven terrain. Can get slippery from dew so be careful. Along the trail there are a few small waterfalls. The sign says a bird watching trail but we couldn't find it. You really get a feel of being in the jungle on this trail. At the top you have nice views of the city, waterfalls and lots of Nature areas to explore. The temple looks very old and Indiana Jones vibe. Tip: you can park your car or motorbike at the trail head but space is limited. During high traffic times you can park by the Basecamp Coffee House and hike from there. You should be able to get up u0026 out in 1.5hrs. If you have not been you here you should try it. Enjoy!

My son who is nine and I walked up this almost 3 km trail to the top. We were wearing flip-flops and it was a little muddy that day. Would probably wear proper footwear the next time though flip-flops we’re not an issue. The temple at the top is wonderful with some vendors selling water and food. You can also get a taxi from the top to go back down.

The first part of the hike was easy/medium difficulty and led to a gorgeous serene temple overlooking the old town. A waterfall and water running through it.
For the second part it’s a bit of a tougher scramble up to the road, across the road and up a steep 40 minute trail to get to Doi Suthep.
Very rewarding hike.

Good hike for beginners but it is a bit slippery. On the top you will see the most peaceful and beautiful temple you have ever seen. It was amazing to see this. It is definitely worth the hike.

The first 10 mins on the trail are quite rocky but it smoothes out a bit after that. It's about a 20-25 hike up the path which is ideal for someone who doesn't regularly walk trails as it is not to difficult.

When you ascend to the top, you will find beautifully cared for gardens and cascading water flowing down the rocks.

The buildings and temples are simple but beautiful. We seen lots of very pleasant monks on the grounds going about their daily routines.

The place was not too crowded early morning, just a handful of visitors which made it more pleasant.

One extra thing I liked about this place is that it wasn't full of donation and collection boxes at every glance making the place feeling a little less commercial which was good.

Loved the hike! We got lost at the beginning and had to do some serious hiking, but eventually found the path after a nice family steered us the right way. The path itself was beginner friendly!
Amazing sights, you really are in the middle of the jungle. Bring bugspray and enough water!
