I've stayed here for 2 months. The people are friendly and accommodating. It's a quiet residential Hotel so if you're looking for Party Land This is not it. Looking for a nice quiet hotel and you want to stay here for a long time make a reservation. It's a wonderful location to explore the city , markets and right at the begining of the saturday walking street market.

Great Location. At the heart of the city center and Saturday Walking Street.

The roomI stayed is big and worth the money I pay for. Bonus is the rooftop with swimming pool and nice city view that you can see the mountains from afar as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. They do have a restaurant at downstair if you need a room service. Another thing I like about this place is their parking lots.

Very spacious and clean room. Roof top pool is small but enough to chill out and well managed. food street is right away. breakfast is satisfying. they do not have various menu but nice quality. (Omelet was bit small than other) Great bakery and south gate is near here. Definitely recommendable.

To be a 'residence' there is no electric kettle in the room to make a hot drink. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room and in the lobby. The rooms was large and clean but not equipped for more than a couple day's stay. Location was nonetheless very convenient. Breakfast was great at fair price.

Standard hotel with a great location and price. Check in was speedy and the room was very clean. The decor in the room is very basic, clean linens, AC, free wifi and LCD TV. The bathroom is divided by a half wall between the toilet and shower so water may splash around the bathroom. The room keys are actual keys, not key cards, that need to be inserted into a slot so that the power can be turned on in the room. A little annoying since you can't leave any devices charging while you're away. All in all a solid hotel at a good value.

I am now settled in my wonderful suite at Smith Residence. This is my third visit. I spent seven months here three years ago. Then spent the month of June here two years ago. Last spring (2020/Covid life) I decided to retire in Chiang Mai and knowing I had a welcoming home here at Smith Residence made the decision easy. Of course, overcoming the challenges of moving to Thailand was something else. However, the staff here at Smith Residence helped me so much, even before I arrived, providing available room options, measurements, and receiving and storing items purchased in advance of my arrival. I’ve now been here for three months and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Smith keeps a close eye on all his properties and a willing and committed staff is always available to assist residents with any issues: helping with Thai language issues, directions, recommendations. Smith Residence even has a small restaurant, laundry service, and a small store/bar right off the main lobby. Whether you’re going to be in Chiang Mai for a few days, a few months, or even years, this is the perfect place. It will begin to feel like home almost immediately on your arrival.
