Chiang Mai old restaurant, Good food, reasonable price, good bakery.

Pandan custard bun is tasteful, lots of filling (8thb), cinnamon bun is soft and nutty (25thb for 2 rolls).

Boat is a nice inexpensive place to eat. It is clean u0026 had good service when we went in the afternoon. I’m not sure how they go when it’s busy? The food was ok. I had a noodle dish which was very sweet! Too sweet!! I had a serve of French fries u0026 they were nice u0026 obviously cooked in clean oil. The country music was a bit annoying to me u0026 some variety would be nice. They could improve the food if they backed off on the sugar. 3/5 stars

Open but relax setting on a busy street leading to Chiang Mai University or Doi Su Thep. Next to a bakery, so easy to fix your sweet teeth after the meal

Nice potion of food, mix of Thai and western. Reasonable price. No free Wi-Fi ???? but delicious

My experience with the Boat Restaurant was highly disappointing. I’ve lived in Chiang Mai for over a year and have tasted quite a few dishes from various restaurants and cafes. This was by far the worst. The customer service was subpar; the waiter didn’t even look at me when he came to take my order and I had to hunt him down to pay the bill. I ordered the cashew nut chicken and my dish came to the table lukewarm, at best. When i looked at it I noticed that there wasn’t any chicken in it, just fried chicken skin to make the appearance of chicken. Literally no chicken on the entire plate. I will not be returning.

In Europe I made the experience that the combination of bakery and restaurant often means excellent food at reasonable prices. Same here! I had a yellow curry in the restaurant and later bought a cinnamon cake in the bakery, for taking home. Both excellent. Plus the service is super friendly and efficient.

Boat are a very eacy and cheap place for a quick plate of good food. From early breakfast to dinner. A loot of friendly staff take good care of you. There are also a frech Bakery next door. You will never go out hungry from there.
